Our nation needs a fundamental change of priorities

He deported those who escaped from the sword to Babylon, and they became servants to him and his sons until the rise of the Persian kingdom. This fulfilled the word of the LORD through Jeremiah, and the land enjoyed its Sabbath rest all the days of the desolation until seventy years were fulfilled. - 2Ch 36:20-21 CSB

Our resources have been diverted and are being used against us.

I was on a road that was in bad repair today, and I wondered how good our roads would be if our tax money went to things to actually enhance our life, rather than to endless wars that keep the few in power and filthy rich.

And imagine how cheap organic food would be if they produced it at scale. It’s currently 2-3x the cost of chemical food, but if we restored our soil to life we would increase the productivity of the land naturally. ALL food was organic before Big Ag got its hands on it, and today’s diseases were unheard of.

Now imagine if our taxpayer grants went to building health and not to ultra-high-profit pharmaceutical poisons. And how healthy could we be if our regulatory agencies were not influenced by corrupt commercial interests?

And it would be nice if the US government would stop actually creating diseases, so we would have less need of high-tech remedies in the first place.

Some things to work for. Israel lost its land millennia ago because it did not care for the soil as God had instructed. They preferred greed, and it changed them, and it came back to bite them. We have done far worse.
