I have watched Governor DeSantis for a few years now, and he has done an excellent job in Florida. So much so that many are relocating there, where they feel they will be free and protected from the woke Left. Everyone knew he had the oval office in his sights, the only question was when he would go for it.

This is not the time for him to go for it.

There are things I dislike about Donald Trump. He has a very big mouth that he ought to rein in in certain ways. I’m not saying he shouldn’t be bold, but he should sound like he graduated high school.

Trump’s first term’s fatal flaw was personnel. He went through staff by the score, and many of them proved to be disloyal. In the case of the Attorney General slot, it cost him the reelection. Ditto Mike Pence, the traitor. In fact, Pence was probably behind many of the disloyal appointments. Trump mistakenly relied on him for insider political savvy.

But despite all that, the first term was a rousing success. Much was accomplished, domestically and internationally.

What’s more, no one has done more to get Republicans elected, to rouse and unify the base, than Donald Trump.

I do not exaggerate when I say that Donald Trump has earned the nomination this year.

We also have something to prove. Despite the prevailing narrative, the 2020 election was stolen from us. This must be corrected, or we have no nation. Trump has something to prove, and so do we. We must not let the lawless take over the nation, as they have done. They must be stopped.

It’s a sign of the times that I wonder if the preceding paragraph will get me kicked off of WP. If so, I welcome it. You’re not the only game in town anymore. We don’t need you.

Ron DeSantis is going to destroy a lot of the good will he had built up. It was for him to stand down for four more years and support Donald Trump. Then he would have been a hero going into 2028. But now his career is about to get fed into the shredder.

Pray for this nation. This is about good vs. evil.
