People forget that this was a speech crafted for public consumption. Trump was not going to broach a military option, or even keep hopes alive about correcting the 2020 election in the courts. His stated focus, time and again, was on four years from now.

Trump has said many times that only a fool lets his enemy know his real plans. The purpose of this appearance was to let everyone know he’s still in the game, and to rally the troops, who have been badly hurting. If you accept it on that level, it was a strong success.

Trump knows full well that there are a couple of court cases still drawing breath, and some vote forensics pending. He mentioned neither. The last time he tried to stir up the troops, on Jan. 6th, the enemy took advantage of it and turned it on him. He’s not going to make that mistake again. Publicly, at least, the 2020 election is in the rear-view mirror.

We are left where we were before the speech. We must be faithful in our resistance to the Democrat destruction of the nation, and to their consolidation of power, as much as possible. Beyond that we must rely on God, because only He can pull this nation out of this deep pit at this point. It was Bill Barr’s malfeasant inaction toward Big Tech and vote fraud that got us into this mess. So much for any human plan.

FWIW, the prophets of the Lord that I listen to have not abandoned their call that Trump will prevail. They are looking for some massive occurrence that will change everything. If it does happen, I expect it will be in a completely unanticipated way. It is for us to watch and pray, to do what we can, and to keep hope alive.
